How to make an AI cover song: choose what changes

Start with a recording you can use and play it from beginning to end. Write down the part you want to change: arrangement, vocal character or both. Do not begin with a voice reference in the source-song field. The AI song cover generator explains the difference between a voice-focused request and restyling the musical setting.

02

How to make an AI cover with your own voice

First check that your account has a custom-voice mode. If it does, prepare a reference of your voice separately from the song you want to cover. Follow the form’s requirements for recording length, file type and any voice setup steps; these are not universal across models. The how to record vocals guide covers a quiet room, input level and a repeatable microphone position. If the mode is absent, the custom-voice workflow is not available to you in that Studio.

03

Prepare the source before opening the form

Keep an unprocessed copy of the source song. Listen for another singer, a noisy intro or an overloaded chorus. A vocal remover can help inspect what is in a mix, but do not assume every cover mode needs an extracted acapella. Use the source type requested by the form. Write a descriptive filename so the song and voice sample are easy to tell apart.

04

Submit once, then follow the saved task

In Jammable AI, open the cover tool and review its current inputs, mode and quote. Submit once and use My Songs to check progress. If the task is still processing, repeatedly clicking create can start additional work rather than speed up the first task. If you see an error, record its message and task identifier before retrying.

05

Compare the verse, chorus and note endings

Pick three points from the original and listen to them in the result. Did the change match your brief? Are the words still clear? Are there distracting echoes or clipped consonants? Keep a short record of what you heard. Use the AI cover troubleshooting guide for one deliberate revision instead of changing several inputs at once.
